Three of the most electrifying athletes in NBA history—Michael Jordan, Julius Erving, and Kobe Bryant—have placed their blue ink on-card signatures on the obverse of this ultra-premium Upper Deck SP Authentic SP Triple Signatures collectible. Erving left the ABA as that league's best-ever player to join the NBA and shock the Association with his unbridled athleticism and flair. Jordan brought the sport to new heights in the late 1980s and 1990s, becoming not only the NBA's best player, but also one of the most recognizable humans on the planet. Bryant made the jump directly from high school to the NBA Draft in 1996 and, over time, became the latest in a series of players regarded as the "Next Michael Jordan." While clearly an impossible standard to meet, it is clear why Bryant's game was so reminiscent of "His Airness": dogged determination, otherworldly talent, and tireless work ethics were hallmarks of both Jordan and Bryant's illustrious careers. These traits helped the Springfield-enshrined competitors combine for 11 NBA Finals titles, seven NBA Finals MVP Awards, and 32 All-Star Game selections. The two men continuously redefined the roles and responsibilities that a superstar must fulfill in order to be considered a true hardwood legend, resulting in some of the most intense, transcendent basketball that has even been played.
